Ex-Alameda CEO's Tumblr Blog Investigated Race Science and 'Imperial Chinese Harem' Polyamory

A Tumblr account and deleted posts linked to Caroline Ellison revealed her sensitive views over race, sex, and even crypto.

Before diving into this piece, you may want to catch up on some relevant stories, like BAYC’s cooperation with Messi and Benzema and funding for $5 million by the biggest NFT marketplace, Joe Pegs.

While the crypto world has not yet recovered from the shock of the fall of FTX, the details of the life and views of the leadership of this company have risen from the depths to shock the community again.

Caroline Ellison's longstanding Tumblr blog drew attention. She, Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), and eight other FTX colleagues lived together in a $30 million penthouse in the Bahamas. Most of the decisions made by the now defunct FTX exchange and Alameda trading firm were made by these people. In addition, these people were also in polygamous relationships, often overlapping, according to reports.

The November 14 report may indicate that Alameda used a frontrunning strategy, relying on insider knowledge. Moreover, Alameda was reportedly withdrawing client funds without their knowledge from FTX accounts. The revealed details of the worldview of the former CEO of Alameda shed light on the relationship between brutal competition, crypto, and fraud.

The account "Fake Charity World Girl" and the handle “world optimization” was created in 2014 and deleted on November 13, 2022. The facts from the biography, posted for eight years, perfectly match the facts from the life of the former CEO. In addition, the blogger shared that she created a Twitter account with a link to an account created by Caroline in March 2021.

The February 2020 post reads, “When I first started my first foray into poly, I thought of it as a radical break from my trad past.” The author also compares the ideal style of polyamory to an "imperial Chinese harem" with “a cutthroat market of sexual competition and subjugation.”

“Everyone should have a ranking of their partners, people should know where they fall on the ranking, and there should be vicious power struggles for the ranks,” the account stated.

The author of the blog mentions sex and power dynamics repeatedly. In addition, the list of sensitive topics continues with "human biodiversity." “Human biodiversity,” or "HBD,” is a euphemism for the discredited field of pseudoscientific racist learning. The author wrote, “I feel like part of me that is interested in HBD is the same part of me that loves personality types and ‘which character are you’ quizzes.”

Indian castes have long been misidentified as racial, according to white racial superiority theory. Caste and skin color were closely linked in the minds of the British; also, the Nazis believed that the Aryans had the fairest skin among the Indians. An accountant affiliated with Ellison was fascinated with the history of “genetic distinctions” and the place of Indus Valley civilizations in it, judging by the number of book reviews on this topic.

However, the most striking seems to be a post related to the events of a week ago, in which the author reveals her attitude to the world of crypto. “I didn’t get into this as a crypto true believer. It’s mostly scams and memes when you get down to it.”, wrote an account affiliated with Caroline Ellison account.
