Nike buys studio creating collectible NFTs for the metaverse

RTFKT Studio was founded in 2020 by Benoit Pagotto, Chris Le and Steven Vasilev. The company works with the latest game engines and blockchain to create unique virtual items.

NFT tokens are unique and not divisible. Such tokens are used to confirm ownership of an object. These tokens cannot be replaced without the consent of the owner.

This is already becoming a trend among sportswear manufacturers since Adidas previously announced at the end of November that it was partnering with the first public crypto exchange Coinbase, and in mid-December, it released its first NFT token and indicated that it was going to launch its own metaverse.
