McDonald's Hong Kong Joins The Sandbox for McNuggets® Land Metaverse Experience



McDonald's Hong Kong has collaborated with The Sandbox, a leading decentralized gaming virtual world owned by Animoca Brands, to create its first-ever Web3 experience called McNuggets® Land. This innovative venture celebrates the 40th anniversary of Chicken McNuggets® and offers a range of interconnected online and virtual world activities themed around the iconic 'Please Share®' catchphrase.

Announced on the official Animoca Brands website, the McNuggets® Land game experience, available exclusively on The Sandbox, introduces users to a virtual world filled with interactive McNugget characters. The game offers a captivating mix of education and entertainment, allowing users to explore the 40-year history of Chicken McNuggets, serve virtual customers, and enjoy various mini-games.

Participation in the McNuggets® Land experience makes users eligible to win a variety of digital and physical rewards, including a share in a 100,000 SAND prize pool and mystery boxes. Hong Kong-based users also have the chance to win from a pool of 10,000 McNuggets coupons, with ten lucky participants receiving a year-long free supply of Chicken McNuggets.

McDonald's Hong Kong's venture into The Sandbox adds to the growing list of brands and IPs partnering with the platform to offer unique virtual experiences to their audience. With over 400 partners, including global brands and IPs, The Sandbox stands out as a popular choice among blockchain-based metaverses. Notable personalities such as Snoop Dogg, Paris Hilton, and Gordon Ramsay have also created their own NFT avatars within The Sandbox, further enhancing its appeal and popularity as a vibrant digital space where worlds and heroes collide to create enchanting experiences.
