The OpenSea price for the David Bowie and FEWOCiOUS NFT collaboration was a whopping $127,000 (96.5 ETH).

This NFT is part of the limited edition "Bowie on the Blockchain" series from The Bowie Estate, and it combines an animated video clip with a life-size sculpture of Bowie dressed in one of his vintage tailored outfits.

"I thought it was so cool that he always was what he wanted to be," FEWOCiOUS said of the author of this work. "And created a world he wanted to live in. That’s really the feeling I try to capture in my art."

Nine different artists from the NFT scene had their work included in "Bowie on the Blockchain." The British pop icon and the bright themes that appeared throughout his work are honored in this NFT collection. The prices for the other NFTs in the collection ranged from 3 ETH (about four thousand dollars) to 7.5 ETH (about nine thousand dollars).

It Became A Myth Land by Defaced

The NFT by its creator, Defaced, titled "It Became A Myth Land," fetched the second-highest price. This one-of-a-kind NFT artwork has a 12-hour clock that covers six eras of Bowie's career. A digital Atomic Form frame is included for presentation purposes.

The overarching goal of the collection is to continue Bowie's work of revolutionizing musical performances and giving voice to online communities.

The collection's NFT auction kicked off on September 30 and will run until November 3. When the collection's sales are completed, all proceeds will be sent to CARE, a charity that works to alleviate hunger and poverty across the world.
