Zilliqa, a blockchain business, is introducing a Web3-focused console with a cryptocurrency wallet and mining capabilities, as well as gaming titles from the company.
Prototype photographs were posted on Friday, revealing an assortment of connectors including HDMI, ethernet, and USB connections, while complete technical specs and the unit's pricing remain under wraps. The system itself resembles an Xbox, however it has two green panels on the top.
According to Zilliqa, the console is designed for ease of use and will incentivise players to perform gaming objectives, quests, and chores in order to mine its native currency ZIL as a reward.
The console will go into beta testing in October, with units scheduled to be available for pre-order in the first quarter of 2023. According to its website, Zilliqa is a layer-1 blockchain built for the creation of smart contracts and decentralized apps (DApps). It currently contains 15 gaming projects.
Polium, a Web3 gaming business, revealed their comparable console, Polium One, in July, which supports gaming NFT across eight blockchains, however the Polium One isn't expected to be released until Q3 2024.
